Handprints University, LLC
is a new, child care facility in NE 
Mountain Home, approximately .8
miles from US-62 and the Bypass. We opened in August of 2007.
We are accepting enrollment for children ages 6 weeks through preschool.
Our facility is licensed for 47 children.
Child staff ratio's are
6 weeks to 18 month's 6 children/1 caregiver
18 months to 30 month's 9 children/ 1 caregiver
30 months to 5 years 12 children/ 1 caregiver
Cost per week is $120.00 for Infants, $110.00 for Toddlers,
and $100.00 for Preschoolers (family discount available).
We
have separate classrooms for each age group, a commercial kitchen, and
three large outdoor playgrounds. Each day we provide a
home cooked breakfast, lunch and snack.
We introduce the
children to Spanish and American Sign Language because we believe
Today’s Handprints are Tomorrow‘s Future. Also, we are teaching
an approved AR curriculum,
“Adventures in Learning”, in our preschool class.
Our facility
currently has 8 employee’s/teachers. And our
current hours are 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Cathy Osheim owner
of this facility has either done Family Home Daycare or worked in a
Childcare Center for the past 32 years. When asked why she opened this
new center she said, “I think there is a need for quality Childcare not
only in Mountain Home but throughout the state of Arkansas. I am t
he
mother of eight children, five of whom are adopted and I have six
grandchildren. I have also been a foster parent. I obviously have a love
for children.”
Our facility sits on four acres and we have
plans to expand in the future.
