Wendy Leatherman - Pre-school Teacher

Wendy has always wanted to work with children as long as she can remember. She has been in the child care field for twenty-two years.

Starting a the young age of 13, Wendy in a day care center on the summer work program. In high school, she did two years in the child development classes that took place at an on site day care provider.

Half of her time was at the preschool and the other half of her time was spent in other centers. She received her Child Development Certificate in 1991.

After high school, she started her family and now is a mother of two teenagers. She has had the following training over the years:

1. Medical Emergencies - 1999
2. CDA - Child Development Associates 2000, renewed 2005
3. CCOT - Child Care Orientation Training - 2001
4. EMT - Emergency Medical Technician - 2001
5. K-ELLA - Early Learning Literacy - Program - Arkansas - Reading Enrichment - 2002 & 2003
6. Director Orientation Program - 2004
7. Pre-school Specialist - 2005
8. Five Sessions - Child Development - 2005
9. CPR & First Aid
10. Developing Sign Language Program-2006 & 2007
11. School Age Training - 2001

Christina M. Ford –Toddler Teacher (18 mo. to 3 years) 

Chrissie has lived in Mountain Home since 1996 and is married to husband, Bradley and has a four year old daughter, Kearstin.  She loves to read and spend time with her family.  Chrissie is involved with Girl Scouts and is a leader of Troop 5303 and is also works with the youth group at her church and stays very active.

Chrissie loves being around children and watching them develop and learn new things.  Her goal is to make sure every child has special attention and nurtured to growth healthy. 

She will be attending training and classes at the University during the year to obtain her credentials in early childhood education.
